why we do this
Did you know the beauty industry produces 120 billion units of packaging every year, and 79 percent ends up in landfills? That’s a lot of empties.
Instead of accepting that as the norm, we chose to find a better way to glow in the beauty industry. By partnering with Pact Collective, we support a system that gives hard-to-recycle beauty packaging a real second life.
Because glow should never come at the planet’s expense.
What You Can Recycle
Right now, you can recycle:
- Empty Salmalita packaging
- Clean, empty beauty and skincare packaging from other brands
- Pumps, caps, droppers, and applicators
If it held beauty and can’t be recycled curbside, it likely belongs in a Pact bin.

Step 1
Glow It Through
Use every last drop of your Salmalita product. Once empty, give the packaging a quick rinse and let it dry.
Step 2
Glow It Through
Head to Pact Collective’s bin locator to find a nearby store with an in-store recycling bin.
Step 3 Drop, Glow, Repeat
Bring your empties to the Pact bin and recycle with confidence. Feel good knowing your glow is doing more.
What Not to Recycle
To keep the program running smoothly, please do not place:
- Items with product still inside
- Aerosols, nail polish, or hair dye
- Medical or hazardous waste
All items must be empty, clean, and dry.

No. Pact bins accept eligible beauty packaging from many brands.

Always recycle curbside when possible. Pact bins are designed for beauty packaging that cannot be recycled curbside.
